Miss Solano's Princess Program is for young girls up to 12 years old and is not a competition.
Miss Solano's Princess Program serves multiple purposes. First and foremost, it allows young girls to be introduced into the Miss America Organization, the largest provider of scholarships for women in the world. Second, it serves as a seed program as today's princesses will be tomorrow's Miss contestants. Third, it serves as a booster for the Miss Solano scholarship fund.
The princesses take part in the annual Miss Solano Scholarship Pageant production where they perform a dance number, have an on-stage crowning ceremony, and serve as escorts to the Miss Solano contestants.Throughout the year, the princesses are welcome to come along for all scheduled appearances. This includes events such as parades, community appearances, and presentations. They are not obligated to attend, but are free to make as many appearances as they can.
