Eligibility Requirements
Young women who meet the following requirements may enter as contestants of the Miss Solano Scholarship Pageant:
- Must meet the location eligibility requirement in one of three ways:
- Residency - The contestant must have resided in Solano County (or Yolo or Contra Costa County) for a minimum of six (6) months prior to entering a local preliminary pageant. Entry date is the date the contestant contract is signed. Proof will be a California drivers license, auto registration, current lease, student ID card or any other official document establishing residency.
- Educational Enrollment - The contestant must have completed at least one full-time semester at a high school. Or the contestant must have completed one full-time semester or quarter at a community college or a four year college/university within the State of California and must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (12 units) located within Solano County (or Yolo or Contra Costa County). Proof will be evidence of registration, transcripts or other official documentation from the appropriate educational institution.
- Employment - The contestant must have been a full-time employee of a firm located within Solano County (or Yolo or Contra Costa County) a minimum of six (6) months prior to entering the local pageant. Entry date is the date the contestant contract is signed. She must also be currently employed by a firm in Solano County (or Yolo or Contra Costa County). (Full-time employment is defined as a minimum of 35 hours per week). Proof will be a letter from the contestants employer.
- Must be between the ages 17-24 and at least a senior in high school.
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Must have been born female.
- Must be of good moral character.
- Must have never been married.
- Must have never been pregnant.
